It is often assumed that when one assigns readings that one's students will actually complete the readings.  Through experience I have found out that this is not neccesarily true.  Consequently, I borrowed  a tool that can account for assigned readings.  Basically, I have taken the Cornell Method of taking lecture notes and applied it to reading analysis. Below is the outline I use for the readings along with examples taken from an assigned reading.
